I am vexed with a terrible conundrum. I’ll tell you what it is. The issue here is thinking!

When an idea is offered up, it pops into existence out of nowhere right?
So it’s really cool how the mind receives it’s thoughts and inspiration. As a
musician it means a song or lyrics just shows up and sits there floating. These
little nuggets of something or almost something appear and are there for you to
bring into the world. It’s the same thing with woodworking which is my focus these
By the way, I look at woodworking, writing, music and all those other skills as
part of the same fountain… No separation other than the fact they are different
mediums….Still, they all spring from that need to create.

So the problem is having all these possibilities, I have to decide on one in the
end! I have to work on one thing at a time right? I feel this is very limiting in
a way.I guess I could work on multiple things and bring them all along little by
little. I just personally have this strong desire to finish what I started. I also
feel restless until a project is completed. I guess being restless has helped me a
lot cause I barrel into an idea full force and get it done. On the other hand, I
put off a lot of other things that need attention. I guess it also has to do with
time right? We have a certain amount of it (time) so it may be a good thing to
ponder what the heck we’re doing every now and then yes?

I always liked the Quote from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. “Don’t Panic.”
I often forget to stop and be accepting of my limitations. I can’t be in all
places at once. So I think it’s good to remember to do my best and things will
work out as they should, for better or worse. Yes, both better and worse! I think
that it’s ok to think this way and that it’s healthy to do so. I could be wrong
though, who knows? Ha…
The truth is we have to take it all one at a time. At least that’s how it works
out for me. You might be the same as I. So if you’re dealing with a lot in your
creative life…or any part of life, You might want to stop here and there when
overwhelmed and tell yourself, “Don’t Panic.
